. I LOVE PLOTTING AND CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT .
Because I run a number of other blogs, this blog will run majority on plot-based threads. While I don’t mind the occasional one-off interaction, I’ve found that they usually don’t go anywhere and thus I end up spending my energy on interactions that go nowhere, when I’d much rather put my effort into plots that strive for character development.

for a long time, jacqueline was led to believe her mother had passed away before she was born. it wasn't until recently that she discovered her mother was none other than the formiddable sea goddess, calypso. at present jacqueline struggles to reconcile the lies she's been told all her life and her new-found idenitty as a demi-goddess.

. ARC ONE . we're devils & black sheep
Having been born and raised on the Isle, Jacqueline lives in a rather unique situation in that she has a fairly healthy and loving relationship with her father. Although the identity of her mother remains unknown to her, she takes pride in being the daughter of the infamous Captain Jack Sparrow. However, she does struggle to reconcile that they don’t much look alike and other Isle born are quick to pick up on this insecurity, making digs at her and riling her temper until she lashes out.

A pirate with no affiliation except to her father and his crew, it wasn’t long until she garnered the attention of Uma. Through several trials and tests, Jacqueline proved her worth and earned a place aboard the Lost Revenge, able—for the first time—to establish a reputation for herself separate from her father. As the Core Four are ushered into Auradon, Jacqueline is among those that eagerly awaits for Maleficent’s daughter to bring down the barrier. She proves to be a valuable asset to the Lost Revenge crew when the barrier fails to be taken down and violence erupts across the Isle. As the Brethren Court is called to assemble with Uma being named a Pirate Lord, she aids Uma and the crew in fighting back rioters and looters and helps establish a safe haven for those unfactioned but wishing to avoid the skirmishes.

. ARC TWO . hoist the colours high
Jacqueline continues her duties as a deckhand aboard the Lost Revenge and helps in the patrol and rebuilding of the Isle after the Coronation riots. She’s in attendance when King Ben is captured by Uma and the rest of the crew, and is caught up in the fight when Uma’s attempt to bring down the barrier with the wand fails. When Uma attends the Cotillion and then doesn’t return, and the barrier once again fails to come down, Jacqueline is among those of the crew that votes Harry as temporary Captain in her absence and fights back another wave of rioters as violence and destruction rages across the Isle, more deadly than before. With Uma gone, Harry is inducted into the Brethren Court in her stead as a Pirate Lord.

. ARC THREE . thieves & beggars ; never shall we die
Jacqueline stays behind with the crew when Harry and Gil escape the barrier to meet up with Uma. As Audrey begins her reign of terror across Auradon, meanwhile Jacqueline discovers her mother’s identity is none other than Calypo, a temperamental and terrifying sea goddess. Overwhelmed by this news, and the realisation that Jack kept it a secret from her all these years, she struggles to come to terms with the truth.

When the barrier finally falls for good, the stress and anxiety of realising who her mother is culminates in a release of power that surprises everyone, including herself. With no magical barrier to hold back her powers anymore, she now must find a way to control them and keep them in check, or risk creating dangerous waters for the now free pirates.

. ARC FOUR . keep a weather eye on the horizon
With the barrier down and those on the Isle now free, Jacqueline takes this opportunity to sail with her father on the Black Pearl. She says her goodbyes to the Lost Revenge crew and the Black Pearl makes its first voyage out to sea in twenty years. They sail for several months, exploring the wide expanse of the Caribbean and Jacqueline learns all she can about being a great sailor and a captain. During the voyage, the Black Pearl comes across a damaged ship, likely taken down before the Isle of the Lost was established.

Jacqueline seizes this opportunity to take the ship for herself, and with help from the Black Pearl’s crew, gets it in good enough shape to sail back to Auradon where it can be properly assessed and outfitted with the necessities of a proper pirate ship. The ship having been damaged enough that very little of its former identity remained, Jacqueline renames it the Tempest and becomes its Captain.
